National Careers Week

This year’s National Careers Week (NCW) ran from 3-8 March 2025.

Although we have already celebrated National Apprenticeship Week, apprenticeships remain an excellent career choice at entry, intermediate, advanced and higher levels. Here is a film reminding you of the benefits.

The NCW2025 Virtual Careers Fair

Discover careers that could match your interests and skills. Click on the links below (Monday to Friday) to explore these further:

Monday: Careers in Banking with the NatWest Group

Apprenticeships are a fantastic alternative to further education. You get to learn new skills that you’ll use in real-world situations from day one and you’ll get paid while you do it! It’s a win-win really.

Tuesday: WorldSkills UK

Interested in a technical education or apprenticeship?

Wednesday: Not Just Lab Coats

Not Just Lab Coats exists to provide you with one place to explore the huge variety of career options in science, manufacturing and technology.

Thursday: NHS Health Careers

Discover the 350 career paths available within our National Health Service.
Whatever your skills, qualifications or interests, there is a career for you in the NHS. You could work directly with patients, in hospitals, an ambulance trust, or in the community.

Friday: Comic Relief and Amazon UK

Think Comic Relief is just about funny sketches and Red Noses? Think again! Behind the scenes, there’s a team of passionate (and sometimes downright hilarious) people making it all happen. Fancy joining the fun?

Saturday: Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons

This National Careers Week, the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) is excited to highlight the various roles of veterinary surgeons and veterinary nurses. So, what exactly do these veterinary professionals do? They have a range of responsibilities, some of which might be more familiar to you than others.

STEM Careers Fairs

Aimed at 13 – 19 year olds, virtual careers fairs inspire and inform, supporting young people to be better prepared for future careers. Each 360 degrees online fair, delivered in partnership with AECOM, contains a selection of industry sectors with companies hosting virtual exhibition stands.

Click on the title link to explore presentations, information, discussion topics and career routes for the many STEM-led career opportunities available.

How To Become A is a comprehensive directory of careers, ranging from Air Traffic Controller to Zookeeper. Find out what each career involves, what skills, qualifications or experience you need, and information on salary levels and progression.

This directory complements our Unifrog Career Library so make sure you look at both resources!
