CATS RehearsalsThis year's school musical is called Cats. It draws inspiration from T. S. Eliot's 1939 poetry collection Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats. A group of cats known as the Jellicles are the subject of the musical, which recounts the night they make the "Jellicle choice"—a decision that determines which cat will ascend to the Heaviside Layer and return to a new life. A few of our fortunate students are involved in the production and will be practicing nonstop to provide a fantastic display on the big night!
Girls / Boys FutsalNaturally, futsal has a strong following, particularly in Spain, Portugal, and Italy. Played on a futsal court indoors, futsal is a modified version of football that is fast-paced, uses a heavier ball with less bounce, has a smaller field, fewer players per team and has less playing time but more touches on the ball. Futsal is one of the strongest teachers of ball control, and it also helps young players develop lightning reflexes, pinpoint passing accuracy, and improved technical ball control skills. There is a separate Futsal club for boys and one for girls.
Girls / Boys BasketballThis club wants to provide more possibilities for social engagement, physical fitness, and recognition by offering top-notch, organised sports programs. Our goal is to give our students a secure and enjoyable space where they may learn and play basketball. Students will be physically active while learning and maintaining the foundations of basketball, excellent sportsmanship, and teamwork with the assistance of the instructors. Developing a passion, feeling a part of a team, and boosting self-esteem are all goals of playing sports. Every student needs to have the opportunity to participate in team sports and acquire abilities that will enable them to succeed in life as well as on the pitch. There is a separate basketball club for boys and one for girls.
Recreational Football (mixed)Whether you're new to the game, returning, or just looking for something a little more flexible, recreational (rec) football offers you the opportunity to pick up new skills and play social football in an enjoyable and sociable setting. There are no competitive elements to recreational football. Fun, sociable, and adaptable training are the main priorities.
The BandStudent musicians who practise and play instrumental music together make up The Band. The Band pushes kids' musical abilities. The Band performs somewhat more difficult songs with complex rhythms and more nuanced phrasing. The Band's repertoire is diverse, encompassing both lighter "pop-style" songs and more sombre "program music." The Band just played at the Shanghai Farewell Party.
GCSE Art & Photography Intervention (starts 17/09)The students get to use art intervention which applies to art designed specifically to interact with an existing structure or situation, be it another artwork. The students also get to use photography as the base for some form of design or illustration.
Further MathsFor maths lovers who will find the foundational GCSE rather easy, there's a club called Further Maths. Since the National Network's founding, which provided all students with access to additional mathematical education, the majority of prestigious universities have come to require additional mathematics education at some level for students wishing to pursue degrees in mathematics or related fields.
German supportStudents who are currently learning German outside of school and need extra help are welcome to join this program. While learning the language, the students have the chance to immerse themselves in German and continuously investigate German culture.
D&T InterventionNot every student is interested in sports, dance or music therefore our extremely popular D&T Intervention after school club run project work. In that time, students will experience the entire design cycle. Students will design their product, make their product using a variety of tools and materials and evaluate their work.
Pop up shopsStudents are sure to find something in our pop-up shop that catches their eyes, whether they are looking for handmade presents, gourmet foods, chic accessories, or unusual home decor!
King's SinfoniaThis is the orchestra from the school. Students get the chance to form and grow a secondary school orchestra that will be able to perform at school concerts and other special occasions. Our after-school King’s Sinfonia group is offered to children with a wide range of diverse music talent. This club is an excellent approach for kids to foster and broaden their musical ability. Engaging and enjoyable, King's Sinfonia plays a variety of songs, instruments, and participates in school events that students truly love. They recently played at the Shanghai Welcome Celebration.
